Life Transformation Groups in Calgary

We consider the most important meetup to be meeting weekly in Life Transformation Groups of 2 or 3 where we are accountable to reading God’s word, confess sins, and pray for others to know Jesus.

Questions to ask each other as you meet in Life Transformation Groups:
Did you complete the scripture reading?
Is God saying anything to you that you need to act on or share with someone?
Has any sinful behaviour or thoughts been revealed in your life?
Who are you praying for that needs to know Jesus?

Print off cards to share and prayer/reading bookmarks to keep in your wallet/purse/phone/bible.

We also get together:

In Life

We share meals and take communion, celebrate life events like baptisms, birthdays and graduations, and play games.

Mid-March Meetup
When: Sunday Mar 15, 2-5pm
Where: 67 Coventry View NE

  • Coffee, snacks, games
  • Come and go, casual get-together

In the Word

We get together to share and discuss what we're wrestling with and what God is saying to us through reading or listening to the Bible.

Brunch & Book of James
When: Sunday Feb 22, 10:30am
Where: 67 Coventry View NE

  • Coffee, orange juice, hash browns and sausage provided
  • Bring something to share (fruit, yogurt, muffins, baked oatmeal, quiche, etc)

In Creation

We venture out into God's creation together, from a walk in a park to summiting a mountain.

Hike Jura Creek
When: Sunday Mar 1, 10am
Where: Jura Creek Trailhead

  • Meet at the trailhead at 10am which is about 1hr drive from Calgary.
  • We'll be hiking the Jura Creek Trail.
  • You will need a Kananaskis Conservation Pass.
  • Dress in layers for the weather and wear good hiking shoes or boots. Recommended to bring spikes and/or hiking poles.
  • Bring your own water bottle and lunch/snacks.

In Song

We gather to sing songs of praise to Jesus.

Campfire Sing-a-long
When: Sunday Mar 22, 6-8pm
Where: Confederation Park Parking, 30 Ave & 7 st

  • Meet at the firepit
  • Bring your own picnic food for supper
  • Hot chocolate and tea will be provided
  • Bring a lawnchair or blanket and dress for the weather
  • Singing to start around 7pm
